Standard BS 10500 «Specification for an anti-bribery management system (ABMS)» – «The management system of anti-corruption measures»

Effective practical system of measuring the characteristics of the anti-corruption practices and comparing them to the agreed standard.

The standard establishes a set of requirements for the development and implementation of policies and objectives for effective anti-corruption measures. It discusses the following aspects:

  • corruption in the public, private sector and volunteer activities;
  • corruption in the organizations, their employees or other persons acting on behalf of the organizations or for their benefit;
  • bribery of organizations and their employees or other persons acting on behalf of the organizations or in their interest;
  • direct and indirect bribery (for example, transmitted or paid through a third party);
  • corruption within the country where the headquarters of an organization, as well as bribery, carried out in other countries in which it operates, such organization;
  • corruption of all sizes (small and large);
  • bribery, as in cash money, and in another form.

As corruption standard are considered only those actions that are identified per se in the legislation of the countries in which is the headquarters and / or in which the organization operates. It is not intended to apply to other criminal offenses, such as fraud, breach of antitrust and competition laws and money laundering.

Standards can be applied all organizations, regardless of type, size and nature of working in the public or private sectors, as well as volunteer organizations.
